Full denture
Full dentures - „third teeth“
In dentistry, a complete denture or full denture is a removable denture that replaces the complete loss of teeth in one or both halves of the jaw. This denture simply rests on the upper or lower jaw, and only in the upper jaw does this denture attach itself to the mucous membrane through saliva. The more degraded a alveolar ridge is, the worse the hold of the prosthesis, with relinings or adhesives usually only providing short-term relief.
Dental treatment procedure
Full dentures are made on the basis of professional impressions according to your anatomical conditions. We have a great deal of experience in the fabrication of full dentures. We achieve denture registration, temporomandibular joint measurement and stability. Once the impression has been taken, the denture is fitted and if you and your dentist are satisfied, the denture can be completed for the next appointment.
Complete dentures consist of a flesh-colored plastic base and plastic teeth that are incorporated into the base. In common parlance, complete dentures are also known as „third (teeth)“ or „dentures“. The main aim of complete dentures is to restore the chewing apparatus to its original functionality. Full dentures also ensure the restoration of the linguistic and aesthetic functions of the jaw and mouth area, for example by supporting the cheek and lip areas that collapse when teeth are completely lost.
