One Telescopic prosthesis is a removable partial denture that is anchored on special double crowns - so-called telescopic crowns. It is the solution of choice when only a few of the patient's own teeth are still viable, but a full denture is not yet necessary. The prosthesis fits securely, looks natural and can still be removed for cleaning.
The special feature of the telescope principle: primary crowns are firmly cemented onto the abutment teeth, while the secondary crowns are integrated into the prosthesis. During insertion, both telescopically into each other - an even friction fit ensures a secure hold, without any visible metal clasps. The chewing load is distributed over both the teeth and the mucous membrane - gentle on the remaining teeth.
Another advantage: If more teeth are lost later, the telescopic denture at Denis-Focus Dental can usually expand – a completely new prosthesis is usually not necessary.

Metal-free telescopic prosthesis – Zirconia instead of metal
Classic telescopic prostheses are often made with metal alloys. At Denis-Focus Dental, there is also a Completely metal-free version Possible: Primary and secondary crowns made of zirconium dioxide, prosthesis base made of Bio HPP PEEK. Biocompatible, allergy-neutral, and aesthetically inconspicuous – especially recommended for metal allergies.
Telescopic prosthesis vs. bar prosthesis – which is a better fit?
Both are removable partial dentures with fixed retaining elements. Telescopic prosthesis provides the strongest retention through the frictional grip of the double crowns and is ideal for few remaining teeth. Bar prosthesis anchored to implants – ideal even in cases of complete tooth loss. Denis-Focus Dental will personally advise you on which restoration suits your situation – free of charge and without sales pressure.
Does the health insurance cover a telescopic prosthesis in Hungary?

Denis-Focus Dental creates the treatment and cost plan in German free of charge – ready for your Austrian Health Insurance Fund, GKV or BVAEB.
How long does a telescopic prosthesis last?
With proper care and regular check-ups, a telescopic denture will last 10-15 years, the zirconia crowns on the abutment teeth often last even longer. Denis-Focus Dental manufactures every telescopic denture in its in-house laboratory and offers a warranty on all dental prostheses.
